​

  • Develop and execute all creative concepts and communication requirements for CRM, loyalty and rewards programs, online and email marketing, print materials and web solutions.

  • Team up with digital manager, account managers, copywriter and IT team as problem solvers.

  • Create UI/UX of websites, mobile app development, edm/email marketing, social media creative post, banner, interactive marketing apps and others.

  • I always demand for a project briefing for clear directions. Brainstorm with the team. Then I give the completed project based on the agreed timing or earlier.

  • I create sketches, wireframes, sitemap structure then I develop initial animated prototypes in UI/UX tool. I also prepare powerpoint presentations which Account Managers use for their client presentation for better appreciation.

  • Execute design based on branding guidelines from concept to final output

  • To help the company save on manpower cost, I create my own graphics, visual &

    illustrations, motion graphics, typography, infographics, icons, and program logo and

    logo designs.

  • I collaborate with IT department to ensure quality of project in the production

    environment and to ensure consistency of brand identity.

  • I discuss technical and creative specifications with third party technical teams,

    merchants, suppliers to ensure quality of final output.

  • I take extra effort in improving user experience & readability, enhancing images and

    provide flawless layout elements.

  • I provide performance-driven graphic solutions & navigation usability.

  • To lighten up the load of IT programmers, I also prepare sliced creative assets and images.

  • I also take care of the company’s offline requirements: print ads, ooh, brochure,

    banners, flyers, business card, and booths for events, event logo design, corporate branding and program branding concepts for clients and internal use.

  • Chowking USA - in-store collaterals. This project involved a lot of online coordination, briefings and discussion. Client was based in the US.

I enjoyed working in Vietnam that time. It was both exciting and challenging since I had to work with creative people from different nations – Vietnamese, American, Canadian. As the agency’s Art Director, I was mainly assigned to do graphic design concepts, pitches and print materials for our regular clients like K+ Cable Vietnam and ECO GO Green.

The Creative Director assigned me to handle the photoshoot art directions for Del Monte projects, one of the agency’s key account and a former account from my stint in the Philippines

The CEO of this company was my former client and she was offered me to be part of her company after I did a one time project “beauty book” (which she really fell in love with).
My role then was to manage the development of the design for Fuller Life (Sara Lee) monthly brochure. I create the look and feel of the brochure each month and at the same time I would conceptualize the theme and layout for 50 up to 80 pages of the brochure.

I managed the shoot production, proping, “go see”, shoot art direction of the products, model. When the designs get approved, I was also involved in final art. It was an end to end art project for me.

While I was employed as a contractual art director in an ad agency, a former boss called and asked me if I was interested to explore a regular job. The first meeting with the CD and the SAD of the company went very well and the offer was good. So I accepted. Here I was able to showcase my management skills. I supervised six (6) art teams. My team created, conceptualized new designs and re-designed product packaging, visual mechandising, collaterals for Nestlé Philippines. Once approved, we would take care of the final art as well. Since this account was the company’s bread and butter, you could just imagine how many collaterals are produced by my team each day each week.

This short but sweet stint came from a friend’s referral. Here I had the chance to work with seasoned creative director and cool art head. It felt great to be in the company of men oozing with energy, creative juices and fun once again.

The experience brought back fond memories from my past work. Memorable projects here were the pitch campaign for SM Malls and Red Ribbon poster which the gone through revisions – but was approved when I was asked to take a crack at it.

This was the first time I was decided to work in other country.
A former colleague who was employed at Twelve97 Advertising called me up and asked me if I would consider working in Dubai. After a couple of emails and chats, he finally convinced me. Then the British boss called me. He sent me my plane ticket and the approved working visa. July 2008 I flew to Dubai.

My job there was to help them conceptualized for all the print materials like brochures, posters, email blast, websites, direct marketing and brand identity. It was a different experience working with creative people from different parts of the world (British, Irish, American, Jordanian, Pakistan, and Kenyan).

I spent 8 years in this company. I definitely learned a lot working with the bosses, CD’s, co-senior AD, art team, accounts and clients. This company helped me to become a full-pledge art director. The experience, exposure to different projects, brands, clients and challenges help hone my talents and skills.

I can say, this was where it all started – my impeccable design sense and good work attitude.

On my first year, my boss assigned me to handle critical accounts. She let me handled the conceptualization for the print campaigns for AVON, one of the company’s top accounts. After 3 years, she asked me to handle National Bookstore and AVON monthly brochure, print ad and production shoots. It was tedious to do each project but fulfilling once you see the final prints. As my accounts grew in numbers, she gave me four art teams to train and manage. Together, we worked on real estate accounts like Filinvest, Sentosia, SM Hamilo and Ayala Land. This was my longest work stint so far. I must stay, there we worked had and play hard too that I didn’t noticed I had stayed for 8 years.

When most of the art directors were still familiarizing themselves with MAC and adobe photoshops, my co-artist and I were already enjoying and benefiting from those software. As part of a multi-awarded imaging company, we were amongst the best digital imaging artist in the country I think. Long work hours and little sleep .. quite normal then since we had so many clients and projects. This was where I hone my skills in final art and printing – skills that I still consider as my edge.

I would never forget this company. My former boss was a generous man. He introduced me the Mac computer. Yeah, that was the year when the Apple launched the desktop original Macintosh 1996. My boss who taught me everything he knew about the first software’s in graphics like Adobe Photoshop 1.0 (Non-layer) and Adobe Illustrator 2.0, Aldus PageMaker 6, QuarkXpress 3.3 and Aldus Freehand 3.0 here, I handled Capitol Steel, Moldex Corp., Wacoal, Givaudon-roure, Camel Appliances, Techtron Industrial Corp., Niagara for two years
